Precondition for (worldwide) accommodation in youth hostels is membership in the German Youth Hostel Association (Deutscher Jugendherbergswerk e.V.). The following annual fees apply:

• persons (27+) and families: €22,50
• persons up to 26 years: €7,00
• International Guests: €3,50 per day or €18,00 for one year

• Important: For group stays in youth hostels not every participant has to be a member of the DJH. Students, clubs, associations, institutions and companies (who meet certain requirements) can apply for a corporate membership in the DJH. Corporations are accepted as members of the national associations in which the applicant organisations have their headquarters.
