From Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof)

From the main train station, take the U4 in the direction of Seckbacher Landstrasse or the U5 in the direction of Preungesheim to Konstablerwache / Zeil, both take 5 minutes.

From the underground station go up to the bus and tram station and take the bus 30 / M36 towards Hainer Weg. Get off at Elisabethenstrasse, which also takes about 5 minutes.

Change side of the street and go back towards Main, turn right at the intersection and walk to the youth hostel (2 min).

Alternatively, take tram line 18 from Konstablerwache/Zeil towards Louisa Bahnhof to Frankensteiner Platz and walk left on the Main to the youth hostel (2 minutes).

Since there are no car parking facilities at our youth hostel and we only have a parking lot for coaches , we recommend that you travel by public transport or use the Park & Ride spaces outside Frankfurt. The nearest multi-storey car park is in Walter-Kolb-Straße 16.

From the north

Take the Autobahn 5 (A5) to the Bad Homburger Kreuz junction.

Take the Autobahn 661 (A661) in the direction of Offenbach and exit at Offenbach-Kaiserlei.

From the South

At the Frankfurter Kreuz junction, take the Autobahn 3 (A3) in the direction of Würzburg until you reach the Offenbacher Kreuz junction.

Drive to the Offenbacher Kreuz.

Change there to the Autobahn 661 (A661) in the direction of Offenbach.

Take the Offenbach-Kaiserlei exit.

From exit Offenbach-Kaiserlei

Leave the roundabout in the direction of Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. Now drive approx. 3 km along the Main river.

The road makes a left turn, after approx. 500 m a right turn. Please choose the right one of the two left turn lanes.

After the next set of traffic lights (street: Deutschherrnufer) you will reach the youth hostel on the left after approx. 100m. Continue straight on after the next crossroads and you will find the Walter-Kolb-Strasse multi-storey car park on the left (€4 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and €1 per hour during the day). 

Own bus parking opposite the Youth Hostel (the key is available at the reception)! 

In the basement of the airport, S-Bahn trains leave for Frankfurt approx. every 15 minutes. Take the S-Bahn 8 (S 8) in the direction of Hanau to Frankfurt main station (3 stops). Continue as described under "Arriving by public transport".
