Do I need a youth hostel membership card to stay at the youth hostel?
Membership in the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) is required for (worldwide) stays at youth hostels. The DJH is a registered association whose services are available exclusively to its members. Membership must be presented or applied for no later than at the time of check-in on-site. It can also be ordered online (http://www.djh.de). The membership year corresponds to the calendar year. Starting October 1 of each year, membership cards for the coming year are issued and accepted. In January, membership cards from the previous year are also accepted.

Since our hotel is very centrally located, there are several doctors’ offices, pharmacies, and hospitals in the immediate vicinity, all within walking distance. Of course, our front desk staff will be happy to assist you.
Where can I find the nearest gym?
The nearest gym is on Dreieichstraße, about a 5-minute walk from the youth hostel.
Where are the nearest museums? Are they open every day?
Most museums are located near the youth hostel (about a 2- to 15-minute walk). With the exception of the Senckenberg Museum, the Goethe House, and Experiminta (9 a.m.–2 p.m.), all museums are closed on Mondays.

Where can you drink cider? Where are the traditional cider taverns?
Right in the heart of it all—that’s our youth hostel: The “Alt-Sachsenhausen” nightlife district begins right behind the hostel. Many other traditional apple wine taverns can be found on Dreieichstraße, Textorstraße, and Schweizerstraße.

Where is the nearest pedestrian zone / shopping street / shopping mall?
The nearest pedestrian zone is the Zeil, which is about a 10-minute walk away or a 5-minute ride on bus 36/30. Among other things, the "My Zeil" shopping center is located there.
Those who prefer a more unique shopping experience and want to shop where the locals shop will also feel right at home on the shopping streets in the city’s neighborhoods. These include, for example, Schweizer Straße in Sachsenhausen (about a 10-minute walk), Berger Straße in Nordend/Bornheim, or Leipziger Straße in Bockenheim. Those looking for something special will also find what they’re looking for right near the youth hostel: There are numerous small designer shops on Brückenstraße and Wallstraße.
Where can I find a bike rental? How much does a bike cost?
There are several bike-sharing systems in Frankfurt. These include, for example, nextbike (https://www.nextbike.de/de/frankfurt/) and callabike (https://www.callabike-interaktiv.de/de/staedte/frankfurt). Bikes are available starting at 1 euro per hour. For longer bike rentals, it may be worth using the bike stations in Frankfurt.
