Public transportation

From the main station

Special train offer for DJH members

The Friedrichstadt Travel Agency offers DJH members discounted RIT tickets for round-trip travel within Germany, which are valid only in conjunction with stays at a youth hostel. School groups and other groups can also take advantage of this offer. A booking confirmation must be carried during the trip.

The partner accepts requests via the booking hotline at 04841-7868894 (Mon–Fri, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.) or at anreise-jugendherberge.de. Payment is accepted exclusively via direct debit. Tickets are sent by mail or online via email. In the event of a cancellation, the ticket can be returned to the agency free of charge up until the first day of validity.

Car

Since there is no parking for cars at our youth hostel and we only have a parking lot for tour buses, we recommend that you use public transportation or take advantage of the Park & Ride facilities outside of Frankfurt.


The nearest parking garage is located at 16 Walter-Kolb-Straße.

1A) FROM THE NORTH
Take Interstate 5 (A5) to the Bad Homburg interchange.
From there, take Interstate 661 (A661) toward Offenbach and continue to the Offenbach-Kaiserlei exit.
Continue to Section 2  

1C) FROM THE EAST AND WEST
Take Highway 3 (A3) to the Offenbach interchange.
There, merge onto Highway 661 (A661) toward Offenbach.

Continue to the Offenbach-Kaiserlei exit.
Continue to Section 2 

1B) FROM THE SOUTH
At the Frankfurter Kreuz, take Highway 3 (A3) toward Würzburg until you reach the Offenbacher Kreuz.

Continue to the Offenbacher Kreuz.
There, take the A661 toward Offenbach.
Continue to the Offenbach-Kaiserlei exit.
Continue to Section 2 

  • 2) At the Offenbach-Kaiserlei
    exit, leave the roundabout heading toward Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. You will now drive along the Main River for about 3 km.

    The road curves to the left, then to the right after about 500 m. Please take the right-hand lane of the two left-turn lanes.


    After the next traffic light (street: Deutschherrnufer), you will reach the youth hostel on the left after about 100 m. Continue straight ahead; after the next intersection, turn left to find the Walter-Kolb-Strasse parking garage (€4 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and €1 per hour during the day).
