In the meantime, “The Fundamental Rights of the German People” were adopted, but ultimately not implemented. What was the mood in Germany at that time, and what legacy did the assembly leave behind? The large circular painting by Johannes Grützke in the entrance area of St. Paul’s Church allows for connections to be drawn to the present and to the relevance of the topic of democracy today.
